Q. How much money can I have for reserve?
A.
For an individual the reserve limit is $2,000.00 or $4,000.00 for the working disabled. for a couple the reserve limit is $3,000.00 or $6,000.00 for the working disabled.

Q. How does the Doctor get paid for services provided?
A.
No money is paid to you. You will receive a Medicaid identification card through the mail to show the doctor, druggist, etc. The doctor or other health care provider then sends his bill to the state and the state pays the provider for the services.

Work First Family Assistance (WFFA) Q & A

Q. What can I use the WFFA check for?
A.
The WFFA check can be used for any purpose that will benefit the child/children included in the assistance unit.

Q. Do I have to report changes to my caseworker?
A.
All changes must be reported to the caseworker within 10 days of knowing of the change even if the recipient is required to complete a Quarterly Report.

Q. What are food stamps?

Food stamps are coupons you use like money to buy food.

Q. Why do you need food stamps?
A.
Food stamps are a way to get through tough times. They help you get back on your feet. Food stamps are a bridge to better times.

Q. What is Emergency Service?
A.
Emergency service is a special application processing method designed to provide benefits to a food stamp unit within seven calendar days from the date of application. Non-emergency service food stamp applications are processed within 30 days.
